Small Town Adventures: HOME is where the heart is

Hello friends and family!

I have been seriously lacking in the blogging department but that is because I have been HOME!

I flew back to Buffalo on February 11th. It was a very long travel day but it was so worth it because when I got home Bob was sitting at the gate with a giant bouquet of flowers. Some friends helped him get through security and meet me at the gate. It meant the world to me. I was so surprised to see him there because he was supposed to be at work.

The next few days & weeks I was very busy seeing all my friends and family. Coming home was a bit overwhelming because I had missed everyone so much and I knew I had to come back to Germany. I am not going to talk about everything I did on my trip home but I will mention some highlights. If something I did with you is not mentioned here I am sorry, it doesn't mean I didn't have a wonderful time. :)

1) Seeing my family. I was able to see not only my immediate family but a lot of my extended family. I was able to spend time with my cousins which was great because most of my closest friends are my cousins. Bobs family is included in this because I definitely consider them my family.

2) Spending time with Bob. Since we didn't get to spend our birthdays, christmas, anniversary, and valentines day together we decided to do one date night to celebrate. Bob was in charge of planning it and he did a wonderful job. He took me to Buffalo Chophouse for dinner and then we saw Rain a tribute to the Beatles at Sheas. The night was wonderful. We also spent many nights at home just enjoying each others company.

3) Seeing my friends. I don't even know where to start with seeing my friends. Just a huge thank you to everyone who made time to see me when I was home. It meant a lot that you took time out of your busy schedules to see me. I had a great time with all of you.

I flew back to Germany on Friday and will be back to Buffalo sometime in July. No flight booked yet but hope to know soon. This semester is going to be filled with lots of trips and lots of work. I have to start my thesis the next few weeks and from there I will be working very hard on completing my thesis so I can come back to Buffalo and get a job!
